Here come the drawers.

If it weren't for the tarp, we would be looking into the den from here. This is the cabinet and brick surround for the range/oven, and to the right is a floor to ceiling cabinet with a cubby hole for the microwave oven, right in the middle. There's a large drawer at the bottom, where we plan to keep Gigi food, snacks and treats. And since our best intentions to keep the range hood have gone awry, we're now planning to install a new "Vent-a-Hood" brand hood, most likely stainless steel to match the backsplash, sink, fixtures and cabinet hardware.
